CAMPS
As every year, El Cruce will feature two campsites located in unique places around the world. The Organization will be responsible for providing tents, breakfast, lunch, snacks, dinner, and services designed to make this experience an unforgettable memory.
Life in the camp is one of the most characteristic aspects of El Cruce. Since its inception to the present day, the runners' experience in the camps is one of the highlights of their participation in this iconic international trail race, which boasts the largest logistics setup in the world.
CAMP LIFE
Upon arrival at each camp, every runner will receive water, isotonic drinks, fruit, a welcome sandwich, and a wristband that will determine their dinner time:.
Blue: 7:30 PM to 8:10 PM
Green: 8:15 PM to 9:00 PM
Orange: 9:00 PM to 9:45 PM
These wristbands will be used at both camps.
RUNNER'S BAG, 2-LITER WATER BOTTLE, AND TRASH BAG
Before heading to your tent, you must collect your runner’s bag and a 2-liter Eco de los Andes water bottle to use throughout the day at the camp.
They will also receive a trash bag to ensure that, upon departure the next day, they leave the tent area in the best possible condition.
TENTS
The day before Stage 1 starts you will receive your tent number. This number is not the same as your runner number. It’s important to know your tent number when you arrive at the camp to quickly locate it, drop off your bag, and start camp life.
The tents accommodate two people but there is an option to rent an individual tent.This can be selected when completing the Runners Form
RELAX AND ENJOY THE CAMP
At the camps, you’ll find various areas and services to refresh and recover after the day’s stage. You can soak your legs in the lake at one of the camps, and at both camps, you can book massage services or pressotherapy boots. Enjoy mate, chat with other runners, view photos and video highlights of the day, and savor a camp hidden in the stunning Patagonian landscape.
GPS OR PHONE CHARGING
The Organization will provide GPS and phone charging services at the camps. Each runner will have one hour to charge their device. It is essential to bring your charger and adapter, labeled with your runner number..
LUNCH
Lunch will be available from the moment you arrive at the camp until 4:30 PM or 30 minutes after the last runner arrives.
AFTERNOON SNACK
Snacks will be available from 4:30 PM to 6:00 PM.
DINNER
Dinner will be served in 45-minute shifts based on the arrival order of Stage 1 and the bracelet received. Please respect these shifts and the designated time for eating.
BREAKFAST
Breakfast will be available starting at 6:00 AM. Please remember to bring your thermal mug for coffee, tea, or mate cocido.
BAG HANDOVER TO THE ORGANIZATION
After breakfast, after arranging and cleaning the tent, you will need to hand over your bags to the Organization's trucks.
CLASSIFICATION TENT
In the afternoon, you should collect the ticket indicating the starting order for the next stage.

SLEEP
Rest is essential to recover energy and fully enjoy the next stage. For this reason, quiet time begins at 10:00 PM during which loud noises are prohibited within the camp. Respect among participants is crucial! Please avoid talking in your tent after this time, as conversations can be clearly heard.
STARTS
Starts will be based on the ticket collected the previous afternoon. It is necessary to have this ticket when entering the starting area.
MEALS
BREAKFASTS
For breakfasts, you will find hot water for mate, infusions, bread, butter, jam, dulce de leche, quince jam, fruits, and various products from the sponsors accompanying us. REMEMBER TO BRING YOUR OWN THERMAL MUG.

LUNCHES AND DINNERS
Both in lunches and dinners, you will find water (Eco de los Andes), soda, beer (Michelob Ultra), barbecue with various cuts of Argentine meats (Vació and Colita), chicken, vegetables, salads, pasta, rice with vegetables, lentils, bread, and fruits.
YOU WILL HAVE 2 INCLUDED DRINKS FOR EACH CAMPSITE.
The Organization offers options for vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free diets.Participants withceliac disease or gluten intolerance will be contacted and informed about available options. However, it is recommended that participants make personal arrangements for any specific dietary needs not covered by the Organization.
TENTS
The day before the start of Stage 1, that is, the packet pickup day, you will receive your tent number, which does not match your runner number. It is important to know your tent number upon arriving at the camp to quickly locate it, leave your bag, and prepare to start camp life.
The organization will provide you with a T-shirt trash bag at the camp so that, upon departure the next day, you leave the tent in the best possible condition.
For those who want an individual tent, it can be rented as an additional service when completing the form. At that time, you can also choose to add an inflatable mattress and other items if desired.
ADDITIONAL SERVICES IN CAMPS
MASSAGES
In both camps, you can book massage services to aid post-race recovery.This service can be selected when completing the size reservation form or during accreditation in Villa La Angostura.
PROGRAVITY
At Camp 2, you can book muscle recovery services with ProGravity.This service can be selected when completing the size reservation form or during accreditation in Villa La Angostura.
WITHDRAWALS AT CAMPS
Runners who decide to withdraw must notify the Information Tent before 9:00 PM to arrange transportation to Villa La Angostura. Once the Organization transfers a participant under these circumstances, any hotel, meal, and/or medical expenses outside the camp will be the participant's responsibility. The runner's bag will arrive in Villa La Angostura by 9:00 PM on the day of withdrawal. Please note that the Organization will not have vehicles available for immediate transport back to the camp or Villa La Angostura.
