CAMPS
As every year, El Cruce will feature two campsites located in unique places around the world. The Organization will be responsible for providing tents, breakfast, lunch, snacks, dinner, and services designed to make this experience an unforgettable memory.
Life in the camp is one of the most characteristic aspects of El Cruce. Since its inception to the present day, the runners' experience in the camps is one of the highlights of their participation in this iconic international trail race, which boasts the largest logistics setup in the world.
CAMP LIFE
Upon arriving at each camp, each runner will receive water, isotonic drinks, fruits, a welcome sandwich, and a bracelet that will indicate the dinner schedule.
Blue group: 19:30 to 20:10
Green group: 20:15 to 21:00
Orange group: 21:00 to 21:45
These bracelets will be used for both camps.
RUNNER'S BAG, 2-LITER WATER BOTTLE, AND TRASH BAG
Before heading to their tents, runners should locate their runner's bag and collect their 2-liter Eco de los Andes water bottle, provided for consumption throughout the day at the camp.
They will also receive a trash bag to ensure that, upon departure the next day, they leave the tent area in the best possible condition.
TENTS
The day before the start of Stage 1, you will receive your tent number. This number is not the same as your runner number. It is important to know your tent number upon arriving at the camp to quickly locate it, leave your bag in your tent, and prepare to start camp life. The tents are for two people, but you have the option to rent an individual tent.
RELAX AND ENJOY THE CAMP
In the camps, you will find various areas and services to refresh and recover after the effort of the stage. In one of the camps, you can dip your legs in the lake, and in both camps, you can hire massage services and/or pneumatic compression boots. You can have mate, chat with other runners, view photos and video summaries of your day on the screen, and enjoy a campsite hidden in the best locations in Patagonia.
GPS OR PHONE CHARGING
The Organization will provide the service of charging GPS devices and mobile phones in the camps. Each runner will have 1 hour to charge their devices. It is important to bring your charger and adapter.
LUNCH
You can have lunch from the moment you arrive at the camp until 4:30 PM or 30 minutes after the last runner's arrival.
AFTERNOON SNACK
Afternoon snack will be available from 4:30 PM to 6:00 PM
DINNER
Dinner will be served in 45-minute shifts based on the arrival order of Stage 1 and the bracelet received. Please respect these shifts and the designated time for eating.
